I seem to fall asleep during Hypnosis CD sessions. Will my Hypnosis CDs still work?
If you do fall asleep during hypnosis, it is true that there is less direct benefit because the subconscious mind takes on different priorities when you transition from the trance state into the sleep state.
HOWEVER, if you find yourself emerging from “sleep” coincidentally as the CD is ending, you are actually emerging from a deep level of trance called somnambulism. In this state of mind you actually experience amnesia for what you just heard on the CD. It feels like you have been napping, yet your subconscious was fully tuned in and even followed the suggestion to “emerge” at the end of the session.
Most people can relate to a similar phenomena that occurs when they emerge from a dream in the morning upon awakening. A dream can be quite vivid, and then just seconds later you cannot recall any of the details!
You may find this happening quite frequently as you continue to use your Hypnosis CDs, but not necessarily every session. The state of somnambulism is NOT necessary for the CDs to be effective, but it is good to know what’s going on so that you realize that you are, in fact, getting the full benefits of listening to your hypnosis CDs.
